"OLD HALL" BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND
Following on from the huge success of the first Old Hall event at the Walsall Leather Museum in February, a second Old Hall day has been arranged for Saturday March 25th.
The event will run from 10.30am until 3.30pm. Nigel Wiggin will be on hand to identify and value Old Hall items and answer any queries that visitors may have. There will be a large selection of Old Hall items for sale in the museum shop, including unusual and hard to find pieces. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the museum’s current exhibition “The Old Hall Story”, featuring the largest display of Old Hall products and memorabilia there has been since the company closed down in 1984.
Admission is free and refreshments will be available throughout the day from the museum cafe. Mike Glasson, Senior Museum Curator, comments that “We were somewhat taken by surprise by the success of our first Old Hall collector’s event last month and this follow-up day is in response to popular demand. Old Hall is very popular with collectors at the moment and we also had a lot of visitors whose family members had worked at the Old Hall works in Revival Street, Bloxwich. It was a lovely day, full of enthusiasm and people wishing to share their happy memories”.
Please contact Nigel Wiggin if you would like any further information.
