Alveston 50 piece canteen

Superb "Alveston" 50 piece canteen of cutlery, comprising six each of table knives, table forks, dessert knives, dessert forks, dessert spoons, soup spoons, tea spoons and coffee spoons plus two table/serving spoons. All in satin finish and in MINT condition.

"Alveston" cutlery was designed for Old Hall by Robert Welch in 1964 and ran through very successfully until Old Hall unfortunately had to close down in 1984. It won a "Design of the Year" award in 1965.

Still extremely highly sought after, the hollow handles of the knives are a particularly distinctive feature of this beautiful design. The solid rosewood and teak canteen was specially designed by Robert Welch for the "Alveston" range.
